GODERICH BEACHES

MAIN BEACH

Descend down to the harbour to the Main Beach. A family friendly area, this sandy expanse allows you prominent up-close views of international lake freighters entering the Port as well as recreational yachts and sailboats. Boat watching is a local pastime. Keep a scorecard of the origins of the various freighters!

Splash in the lake, walk the pier, watch your kids on the play equipment. Pavilions with washrooms are available as you make a day of it on Main Beach. Make sure you save room for fries or an ice cream cone at the Rotary-run Beach Hut

ST. CHRISTOPHER'S BEACH

St. Christopher’s Beach offers sun and shade, rocks to perch on, and sand to sift your toes through. Stroll online the boardwalk with your dog on leash while watching the waves lap against the rocks. Families often enjoy gatherings under the pavilions equipped with washrooms. Watch your children frolic on the play equipment.

ROTARY COVE BEACH

Pass through the Rotary Cove Gates to a crescent shaped beach ending at Cove Road. Popular among tourists, the Cove’s beach is shallow and sandy and also offers fitness and play equipment. Paddleboard and other rentals are available during the summer. After a long stroll along the boardwalk, reward yourself with a treat from the Beach Hut at this end of the beach!

Bring Fido leashed on St. Christopher’s Beach and for a walk along the boardwalk south of Rotary Cove. We are sorry to say we cannot permit recreational vehicles or trailers at any of our three beaches. Paid parking is in place from May 15 to October 15 inclusive from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
